For Professionals

CME Courses

As a CME IV Certified Practitioner, Simona DeMarchi is authorized by Ramon Cuevas, creator of CME therapy, to provide all levels of CME certification. Each certificate of course completion is signed by both Simona, as course instructor, as well as Ramon, as the creator of CME therapy. Only therapists in possession of a registered certificate are authorized to deliver CME therapy.

Simona accepts registered physical and occupational therapists into her courses. In addition to small group courses of 8-15 therapists, Simona also offers courses in tutorial format of just 2-6 therapists registered in any given week. Each format has unique characteristics and advantages to offer to the registrants.

Please contact SDPT if you would like more information about the CME courses that Simona offers, the possibility of hosting a CME course in your local area, and/or to be added to the SDPT course contact list.

Please note that any therapist who is interested in joining the CME team is required to provide documentation of licensure as a registered health care professional in their country of employment. Additionally, a brief summary of professional experience in the field of paediatric rehabilitation is also requested.

Clinical Mentorship + Consultation

Clinical mentorship is a dedicated period of time (from a minimum of a single day to two weeks in duration) spent working and learning alongside Simona directly. Therapists in clinical mentorship, partake in Simona’s work day, whether this be assessments, direct therapy sessions, and or course instruction. There is opportunity to handle children within Simona’s therapy sessions as appropriate and, for those who may plan their mentorship to fall during an intensive therapy block for one of their own clients, have an opportunity to receive direct support from Simona regarding that child’s CME program. Of course, there will also be ample opportunity for clinical discussions and updating regarding current practices within the CME program.

Clinical consultation provides an opportunity for CME practitioners to consult directly with Simona. This time may be used as an opportunity to review handling techniques, ask clinical questions, and/or receive support regarding a child’s CME program. Clinical consultations may be conducted with a specific client present if scheduling permits. Consults may be managed on a case by case basis, or booked in blocks of service and may be conducted virtually or in person.
